The filming of the last sequence for the documentary “ECLIPSED” on the island of Antiparos has been completed.
Antiparos embraced our vision and our effort to celebrate the starry night sky. Darkness has never been brighter.

I would personally like to say a huge thank you:

  • To the residents of Antiparos for their contribution, their patience, and for accepting the “disturbance” caused by the lighting shutoff. Without your consent, this shot would have been simply impossible.

  • To the Municipality of Antiparos and personally to Mayor Anastasios Faroupos, as well as Deputy Mayors Eleni Viazi and Artemis Triantafyllos for their unwavering support and faith in our project from the very first moment.

  • To the students and teachers of the Antiparos Primary and High Schools.

  • To the electricians Dimitrios Tzimas and Ioannis Korkidis, the unsung heroes of the production, who worked tirelessly through the night to coordinate the island’s lighting.

  • To Andreas Papalambrou and Lambros Doulos, for their invaluable scientific and technical contribution both during the night shoot and for the excellent presentation they gave the students about light pollution during school hours.

Production continues. But this evening already showed something I believe deeply: when a community decides to look up, the sky responds
